Why bother learning Dutch.......
                ....everyone understands English, don't they?
 

Maybe, but not everyone speaks English, and certainly not on
the work floor, or in towns and villages away from the Randstad.
It's also handy to know what is going on around you; what's being said in the shops, or at the stations, or in the coffee break.
